PROFESSIONAL
To date, I have produced over 50 I-Team packages daily. More of my I-Team work can be found HERE.
As Creative Services Director, I get to flex my creative muscles and be more involved in the behind-the-scenes work, including writing, acting, and leading a team of creative professionals. In addition to giving me hands-on experience leading a team, I also get to work directly with clients on commercial work, helping them bring their ideas to life. You can see a number of spots that I had a hand in below, and the responsibilities I held during production can be viewed in the description of each video. A full playlist of all my work at WRDW can be seen HERE.
COLLEGE WORK
(2017- 2019)
Long before WRDW News 12 or the Burn Center, I attended Augusta University for Mass Communication, which opened the doorway for many video projects to be produced. Here's a short assortment of videos I have created for clients, classes, and internships provided by Augusta University. Please also consider checking out my YouTube show "ChrisArcade" by clicking HERE.
( 2022 )
BURN AND RECONSTRUCTIVE CENTERS OF AMERICA
In 2022, I briefly was hired on to be the lead Videographer for the Burn and Reconstructive Centers of America at Doctors Hospital. In my position, I scripted, voiced, edited and animated a series of safety videos and created patient stories to distribute to the public. You can find a collection of my work for the BRCA below:
CREATIVE SERVICES DIRECTOR
(2022 - PRESENT)
NEWS 12/26
(2020 - PRESENT)
During my time at WRDW News 12/26, I worked as a Video Editor, a Photographer, a Creative Services Producer, and finally was chosen to lead my department as a Creative Services Director. You can read about each of my roles below, as well as examples of the work produced in each role.
CREATIVE SERVICES PRODUCER
(2020- 2022)
Another exciting part of being a Creative Services Producer was the amount of opportunities it provided me to challenge myself to create new and engaging motion graphics, as well as solve unusual video-related problems. Here are an assortment of graphics and editing examples, and you can find even more HERE:
ON-AIR REPORTING
While I was serving as Creative Services Producer, I was also given the opportunity to do some "on-the-scene" live reporting for our lifestyle show, the Morning Mix. You can check out a collection of my interviews and live shots below!
I-TEAM PACKAGES
(2019 - 2020)
Before I was a Creative Services Producer at WRDW News 12, I gained the opportunity to work with the Investigative Team's lead reporter, Meredith Anderson, as her lead Photographer. I had the responsibility of researching and shooting footage, editing motion graphics, and assembling entire packages for air-time. These were often always "day-turns", meaning detailed visuals on an incredibly short time-period.
There are two types of packages, 4PM packages and 6PM packages. 4PM packages are much shorter, and usually serve as a teaser for what's to come. The 6PM packages are the full stories, usually ranging from 2 to 3 minutes in length. Here are some packages I have produced:
Before I was promoted to director, I served as a producer. This role gave me experience following direction to produce spots and promotional material. It also allowed me to work directly with a team and gain the opportunity to work creatively with others-- producing some high quality work I'm very proud of. You can view a selection of my work from this time period below:
